The Earth Element
If you are an Earth Element, you are dependable, hard-working, reliable and consistent. Your purpose in life is to provide structure for those you care about and to help everyone do the right thing.
Earth Elements believe that they have a moral obligation to do what is appropriate in each situation they encounter. For them, morality and manners are deeply interconnected, because they see good manners as an expression of right living. They cannot be happy unless they feel they are doing the right thing.
While other Elements are thought-oriented, action-oriented, and people-oriented, Earth Elements are task-oriented. They believe in getting everything done correctly and in order.
They invest deeply in continuing traditions that have stood the test of time and they have a deep respect for family and lineage. Continuing family traditions is deeply important to them. On the very deepest level, they are driven by a need for security and stability.
Earth Elements value structure. They uphold the structure of society and respect authority. Their strong sense of duty and honor draws them to professions that allow them to protect others. Many firefighters, police officers, and military service members are Earth Elements.
Religion is usually more important to Earth Elements than spirituality. Many Earth Elements view the concept of spirituality as a vague, “wishy-washy” idea. They prefer the structure of traditional religion and appreciate having a moral code of conduct that clearly communicates the behavior expected of them.
They are highly resistant to change.
